After participating in many (and I mean many moves), I have seen first-hand how stressful moving can be for everyone involved. Over the years, as a professional mover, I have figured out some ways to avoid move day stress.
You can picture it, right? It’s move day. The movers are on their way and you still have so much to pack! You’ve run out of packing materials, you can’t find your closing papers and hope you didn’t pack them, and you just don’t know how you are going to get through the day.
You saved some money (or thought you did) by having your family help you pack… so, needless to say, you’re second-guessing that decision as your loved ones chastise you over how much “stuff” you have and everyone is arguing with each other. You witness the stress levels rise with these family dynamics and have absolutely no idea who put what in what box.
You might be thinking by now that you’re just missing one thing to get you and your family through this day – a therapist! We hear you! Moving is stressful.
WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE THE MOVING PROCESS LESS STRESSFUL?
